One of the more surprising ideas that came through the IdeaBox was “Bring your pet to work day.” While we’re still mulling over the logistics of that one, we loved the creativity behind it. So, instead, we’re excited to announce, “Bring your own plant to work day.”
This will combine the idea of bringing something personal to your workspace with an opportunity to brighten up our office.
Wouter and Laurien will share more details on this, including how to participate.
In another exciting initiative, we will decorate the office walls with photos of our HQ colleagues, each showcasing something personal about them—whether a favorite item or a unique pose that represents their personality.
The photos will be grouped by team and displayed near the respective units. It’s a fun way to connect with each other and showcase the diversity of our amazing team.
More details will follow in the spring months.
We’ve heard your feedback, and Facilities is looking at how we can ensure there is enough fruit throughout the week. We might need another supplier to deliver fresh fruit twice a week, which might take a few months.
Stay tuned for fruity Facilities updates, and hopefully, we can start the summer with sun-ripened fruit.
Facilities will add a wall clock to the cafeteria and place serviettes on the tables—little changes that we hope will make your lunch breaks better.
We’re happy to report that thanks to the Facilities team, air fresheners have now been installed in all restrooms, ensuring a pleasant experience for all.
Those who prefer not to participate in the monthly Coffee Roulette can easily opt-out.
We’re always looking for ways to make things more flexible for everyone.
Human Resources is reviewing the request to offer an alternative reward for employees who have worked at VIB for 10 or more years.
Please note that, due to social security rules, we cannot give an extra gift card in the same year as the end-of-year bonus.
The Facilities team will set up some Christmas lights in the courtyards in due time, adding some festive cheer when the season rolls around.
We love the idea of making VIB’s rich history more visible across the building. However, this will be a bit more challenging, so we’ll revisit it in one of our subsequent brainstorming sessions.
